BMW CCA DRIVER’S SCHOOL & CLUB RACE PHOTOS

AT MOTORSPORT RANCH – HOUSTON
OCT 14 - 15, 2006
HOSTED BY HOUSTON BMW CCA

Day 2 was off and on rain, which made for a slick track although still lots of fun.

Plenty of cars came out for the event despite the rain

Even the Club racers took to the track

Fortunately the rain was on and off which allowed for some good runs of the DE as well.

In addition to BMWs we had a few Minis, Hondas, and Miatas. Shortly after this photo the S2000 was off the track and was being pulled out of the mud

The final turn had a pool of water requiring a very late apex, or a big splash of water.

A few Corvettes and one Exige ran in the red group. The 3 Z06 Corvettes were doing quite well on what I was told a track designed for Corvettes.

One E38, and one E39 on the track

The Exige ran throughout the weekend very well with a number of different drivers.

MSR Houston has a stable full of Mercedes 230s with manual trans that looked like they had been around the track once or twice.

Lamborghini Day at Motorsport Ranch photos

October 5th, 2006

On Oct 1st, Lamborghini Of Dallas unveiled the latest Lamborghini super car at Texas Motorsports Ranch.

The LP 640 held up very well at the track crushing all of the other exotics put up against it.

The LP 640 is the newest version of the Murcielago equipped with an incredible 6.5 Liter 640HP engine

Other cars at the track were the Early Generation Diablos all the way up to the latest version

In addition to the Murcielago there were a fair number of Gallardos such as this orange one parked in front of a Porsche GT3

A few Black ones

One Silver one

And a Spyder - It had yellow calipers and then yellow stitching on the interior leather.

Personally, I do not know why there are not more Spyders. This car is hot.

In addition to Lamborghinis the track was filled with many other impressive Ferraris, 700 HP Mercedes 6.5SL AMG, BMW Z8s, Porsches and Corvette Z06s
